Solidarity Academy 2008 was held in Sopot. The lectures within the Academy were given by: Boguslaw Sonik, Michal Kulesza and Zbigniew Stawrowski.

Nearly 50 participants spent in Sopot 4 days discussing different dimensions of social solidarity, the experience of events know as the “Polish August of the year 1980” and the social thought of Pope John Paul II. Within Academy many discussion panels, lectures as well as oxford debates took place, where young people tried to answer the question: “ Was the heritage of the Solidarity Movement wasted?”. The participants of Academy visited also the exhibition “Roads to Freedom”.
